Partnerships Associate

The Drone Racing League (DRL) is the premier, global drone-racing circuit and producer of world-class sports content. As a futuristic sport that blurs the line between the real and the digital, we get to race in the most legendary locations around the globe and immerse fans into video-game-inspired courses.

We are seeking a Partnerships Associate who will be responsible for executing and maintaining strategic DRL partnerships. The Partnerships Associate will be directly responsible for supporting the partnership team in  managing senior relationships with new and existing partners. This role requires a high level of collaboration with internal cross-functional teams and external partners to coordinate the consideration, design, and completion of projects on time and within scope, while ensuring the most productive and efficient use of team resources.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support in the development and management of brand relationships with new and existing partners
  • Create, measure and communicate value to partners
  • Support in the day-to-day communication with partners, serving as an additional  point of contact for approvals, questions, concerns, planning, and execution
  • Support the vetting, approval, and delivery of contractual benefits across DRL’s technology, media and events stakeholders
  • Assist with on-site activation for virtual and in-real-life (IRL) DRL events 
  • Ensure relevant sponsorship, financial and organizational materials are delivered on time and in expert condition to relevant stakeholders
  • Proactively seek out upsell opportunities and early renewals 
  • Manage multiple projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail

Who You Are: 

  • Degree from a four-year college or university, preferred major in Marketing or Communications
  • Internship or 1+ years of experience in a role with partner or account management 
  • Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to communicate with C-level executives internally and externally
  • Knowledge of the sports and entertainment industry and best-in-class partnerships
  • Team player with the ability to execute across a cross-functional team
  • Self-starter who takes the initiative and always pushes for maximum results
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, fluid, startup environment
  • Current passport and willingness to travel (estimated: ~5 days per month)
