The Drone Racing League (DRL) is the premier, global drone-racing circuit and producer of world-class sports content. As a futuristic sport that blurs the line between the real and the digital, we get to race in the most legendary locations around the globe and immerse fans into video-game-inspired courses. We are seeking a Senior Manager of People Operations to implement our human capital strategy while recruiting and managing our greatest asset, our People. The successful candidate is responsible for talent acquisition, organizational design, departmental optimization, and employee retention.
What You’ll Do:
Deliver on day-to-day HR tasks, supporting employees in all stages of the employee lifecycle
Own, optimize and continuously iterate on processes including recruiting and hiring, competitive benefit programs, performance & promotion management, culture and engagement, resource planning, and learning and development
Support in building a strategy around a hybrid work culture where team members feel high levels of connection and belonging
Work with Legal and Finance to ensure ongoing compliance with relevant regulations and requirements to minimize risk and exposure to the company
Develop and administer scalable HR systems and tools that promote efficiency and support compliance needs
Own the onboarding to offboarding process, facilitating new hire engagement, employment verifications, immigration visas, benefits enrollment and changes, and separation processes
Work cross-functionally to solve root people challenges, while navigating various levels of sensitivity, complexity, urgency, and ambiguity
Define and manage the People Department budget
Partner with the leadership team on organizational design and maintaining our team culture through company growth
Who You Are:
You have 7+ years of HR generalist or People Operations
You have experience as one of the primary points-of-contact in the People Department and have trained under a senior leader in the HR industry (bonus points for experience at a high growth company)
You have excellent communication skills across multiple audiences and mediums
You have a proven ability to play “high and low” – operating at both a strategic and tactical level with ease switching between contexts without skipping a beat
You are a master networker who can build strong relationships and activate those relationships to recruit at every level of the organization (interns to C-Level Executives)
You have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence and build support for ideas and initiatives
You hold domain knowledge in the different areas of HR: Benefits, Organization Design, HRIS, Compensation, Rewards, and Retention
You have a track record of being a people leader with an ability to resolve complex issues in support of a positive, inclusive work environment
