After months of trial and error, hundreds of broken motors and fiery crashes, DRL’s RacerX succeeds in setting a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title.

Average speed of 165.2MPH / 265.87kmph with a fastest oneway top speed of 179.78mph.

Drag Race

In order to set the achievement, RacerX needed to fly back and forth across a measurement course of 100 m (328 ft.), with the official record set as the average of the top speed achieved on each of those flights.

The record-setting RacerX represents the culmination of years of technological innovation by the DRL Techops team.

The need for speed

Outside of the power system, the rest of the build is quite simple, using only a few dozen parts.

Small Package

Handmade in NYC: 3D printed TPU, carbon fiber, copper wire and fasteners.

BeeRotor 80A 10S ESCs

Large ESC's are mounted around the center pod for minimal drag.

TMotor F80 2407 2500kv + APC 5x4.5BN / 10S

With 8-10S can approximately generate up to 43,000k RPM with APC 5x4.5BN.
