The 2018 season begins with Level 1: California Nights on the most technical drone racing course ever designed. Four rookies and eight returning veterans are tested for the first time this year on obstacles across multiple warehouse spaces, with extreme dives, hairpins, and technical slaloms. Who is ready to prove themselves on the world’s largest drone stage?
Five veterans and one rookie advance to the Level 1: California Nights Finals. Racing is tight, as four of the six pilots all manage to take a 1st place finish in at least one heat. 2017 DRL Allianz World Champion JET struggles throughout Finals, failing to complete a single race. After six heats, NURK and McStralle advance to the brand new Golden Heat, a winner-take-all final race to determine the Level champion.
